June 15th Weekend - Our first camping trip of the season!

We camped our first time of the season at Sandy Beach in Cap Pele this year. It is a very crowded park but the beach there is amazing. Lauren loved the little park they had.

And Oscar and Franklin too!

Lauren even got to swing side by side with her baby. She thought that was pretty cool!

And we played in the sandbox.

and then had a nap...

Oscar too...

Then we headed to the beach for the first time of the year. I only have these two photos from the first time she dipped her toes in, but will post more with videos that are on our other camera.  She LOVES the beach!

Our first camping trip was a success! xox

Lauren and Brody

Lauren had a blast with Brody today.  He was just like one of her baby fleet!  The pictures say it all! Gosh, these kids are cute :)

And a movie to show how much fun they really had!!

PS - No one was in danger during filming (lol!). Auntie and Mommy were very close on hand to catch if needed :)

Kite Flying

We had purchased a kite last year from Costco and never had the chance to try it out. The fun thing about living in the country and having a daughter who loves the outdoors is that you are always looking for new things to do.  Finally DJ got the kite out and showed Lauren how to make it fly!

June 9th Weekend

Over the past 6 weeks, Lauren and I have been going to a play group called Mother Goose. Mom's and kids sit in a circle and sing songs and learn rhymes.  Lauren loves going and although she is quite shy and not a huge participator while we are there, as soon as we get in the car, she sings all the songs. She LOVES to sing. (Can't imaging where she would get that :))

It is not easy getting a video of her, but here are a few things i was able to get to share!

Me and My Baby

I count to 10!

See how still i can be?

June 6 - Another Rainy Day!

The weather has been pretty dark over the last few days. Keeping everyone locked up inside can always be a challenge. Auntie and Brody spent the day with us today.  Here is Auntie's story time.

Holding hands and watching very intently!

Too cute. Lauren loves her newest cousin! xox

May 2012

I have fallen a bit behind on my postings! This will be a bigger one so you can be caught up on what we have been up to :)

Lauren adores her newest cousin.  Now, she enjoys snuggling Brody in her chair and prefers mom to be hands off!

And he loves her to. Even if he is crying, if he gets a look at her the biggest smile comes over him. My goal will be to get a picture to share. It is too cute. He will even tell her stories now...sure to be an early talker!!!

I will also have to get some photos from the zoo. We have been going every week and it has been a lot of fun! Lauren loves the Monkeys!

Of course, we are in the terrible twos,  but in all honestly, it hasn't been too bad as of yet.  She certainly has a mind of her own but most tantrums end in her needing some "alone" time.

There she is all cuddled up on her toy box.  Here is a closer look:
Yes, she shares her time with her baby! :) She sure loves her babies. She has a fleet of 9 that even sleep with her!

She has started to read a lot.  Here is a video of her reading to her baby.  This melts my heart.

Lauren LOVES it outside. From the time she gets up in the morning until bedtime, she wants to go "o-hide".  We had a load of rock delivered for some work that needed to be done on drainage in the backyard (Side note...everything in the country has to do with fill and drainage...grrrr) and Lauren loved the rock pile. She wanted to climb it, sit on it, take pictures on it, take her baby and her monkey on it and one day she even got mad at me because i wouldn't put her jeep at the top of it...hahahah! Turkey!  Here are a few photos:

And last but not least. Lauren is facinated with big trucks and tractors. When Dj mows the lawn she gets very excited and loves to watch.  She wants to get on so bad but she is very nervous.  One day she finally said yes, but when we put her on this was her reaction:

Until next time! xoxo

April 14 - Visit with Addison and Ali

This morning after our Mother Goose Song Circle, Lauren and I went to Holly's to play with Addie and Ali while Holly visited Karen at the hospital.

The girls were very attentive while I taught them song songs and told a few stories:

Then we did some furniture moving and played some tag, duck duck goose and ring around the rosie.

I had to run home for a telephone meeting, and Lauren ended up leaving in tears mostly due to her being in desperate need of a nap, but as always, we had a super fun time with the girls!
